The helmet beads are all cast in zinc then electroplated , I have chosen to plate the first batch in Antique Copper and Antique Nickel as it gives them that aged/well worn finish also it brings out the highlights of the helmet .Other options for plating are gunmetal ,gold ,bronze . All beads are big enough to fit a 550 paracord Turks head knot inside with a 5mm central hole in the top of the helmet .

The Spartan shield has MOLON LABE carved in it with a Greek pattern round the edge , i wanted the shield to be as close to an actual shield as possible so did it curved , also it can double as smock buttons . The hole is 5mm and the paracord lies flat against the back of the shield so there are no kinks in the cord going through the shield . These will be plated the same colours but will add a few in gunmetal colour to see the effect . The wording will show up better with the Antique finishes . I am busy casting them today then will have them plated and finished by the time the CT show arrives .

All helmet beads are my own design and the masters are hand carved from wax then moulded in resin before rubber spin casting moulds are made of them .
