    JD Ellis - Ranger Collaberation

    Hey Guys...
It was a pleasure to meet Johan Ellis at the guild show! A while back we decided on making a slip joint Ranger collaboration, were Johan managed to compress the design of the Ranger into a Slippie. He made this amazing damascus edition for me, and I am in return making him a Ranger after the Proto's are out.
Here are some pictures of Johan's fine work... I consider Johan 'THEE' best slip joint maker on the planet.... and who ever doesn't have one, needs to get one as we share the same turf as this guy....

    Here are some pics...

The prototype that Johan had at the show I don't think is a Ranger collaboration. Maybe Johan can jump in and give an explanation. . .

Thanks for the post Jason was good to meet you at the show As I said before the Proto type is a combination of a few knives. The spine is on loan from you (the grip is just that good), the Blade from Loveless (I am changing that maybe), The front of the handle from a lot of tacticals and the back of the handle from me. The look maybe from a J Oesser. The knife I think will be looking super with some Hunters G10 and LSCF.

The knife shown here is just a copy of your work as we discussed. I think it came out nicely and I hope you enjoy it. There is only one of these slippies at this stage and it is the one in Jason's pocket so you will have to challenge him to a dual and I think you are going to loose this one as he owns a shooting range
    Regards, Johan Ellis
