    Finally completed my pack

I recently managed to complete my ATS Cobra pack... this after I had to return a pouch to the US after I received it and realised it was WAY too big. Good Lord I really like to do things the hard way....

Why I dont just go and buy a blerrie North Face or Karrimor at the local camping store I will never know, but I tend to get a bee in my bonnet. Used to be you could get heavyweight stuff like this mailed out and it wasn't too bad costwise, but nowadays....!! eish!

In any event, I now have more packs than I will EVER need, its ridiculous.... but at least I can put a lock on that particular obsession!

Here are some snaps with the bigger brother the R.A.I.D in multicam which I ordered pretty much complete, as a Xmas pressie to myself a few years back. This is MUCH easier and cheaper in the long run. The Cobra I got 'naked' and then added the pouches and the cute little ITS web keepers one at a time. BTW ATS Tactical are great guys to deal with and have a very international friendly shipping policy.

The big one takes a crapload of gear and is great for travelling. I dont really get in any overnight hikes anymore so that's mainly what I use it for. Hope to get to use the Cobra this coming Easter, when we hit the berg... pray the weather is kind to us, unlike the last time when we walked right into a BRUTAL cold front and ended up 'camping' at a local B&B

^^^ These are the little ITS strap keepers, really neat doodads for keeping straps neatly rolled. You can get em from The Supply Captain who also sell ATS rucks.

Those are some impressive bags. I wish we could get a wider range locally and at better prices.

Mark, I am soooo glad to see another person with the same "quirks" as me. I just cannot resist a good "bag" and has spent wayyyy too much money in my unquenchable quest for the perfect one ... which never comes.

In a cupboard = under control. That is about the only control that applies.

Buff, what happened to the bag you ordered from the US that you designed yourself? Saw a thread in this regard on BladeForums.

What is your opinion of the Maxpedition Fatboy as EDC bag?

I unfortunately have found my perfect bag but the cost and added to shipping and customs costs makes me have to say no and just dream

That is a super serious bag there! Does Buff know about it? Rather take the post down before he sees it. Hehe.
