goodness , I just cut myself just looking at that .... tremendous ... off topic just got my Sharpmaker yesterday , think I sharpened every knife in the house (even my wife's nail clippers LOL)

next will probably be a strop of some kind , for now would an old jean pants work ?

Nice! How long did it take you to reprofile and polish K390? Any thoughts on it?

Hi Marthinus:

Actually I was very surprised by the ease of re-profiling and sharpening.

My first thoughts were that Spyderco's HT was a bit off....??

I did my Gareth Bull M390 Gyuto the day before and man oh man....it was much more difficult than the mule.

Will use it some to check the edge retention etc.

Took me about 5 hours - quick to re-profile, but the bevel polishing is always a pita.

That is awesome! I think with a bit of rum now and then those 5hrs actually fly!

Must say, a edge like that will make me to never use that knife. Except for staring at it .....
